The Queensland Government has approved The Star Gold Coast (formerly Jupiters Casino) for a new, 200 metre hotel and apartment tower on Broadbeach Island.

The new tower is the first of up to five within a future master plan for the property as part of a joint venture with Queens Wharf Brisbane partners Chow Tai Fook Enterprise and Far East Consortium.

Construction of the new 700-key complex at Broadbeach is expected to start in 2017 and will signal
an exciting new era for tourism infrastructure on the Gold Coast.

“Our vision is to continue to transform Jupiters into a truly integrated resort on the Gold Coast, and help position the tourism industry as an economic driver in Queensland.”said Matt Bekier, Managing Director and CEO of The Star Entertainment Group.

They expect to start construction in 2017, and the tower will boast new restaurants, bars and a luxury day spa. The 345 million dollar transformation concept looks like a stunning addition to the coastline.

The 4.5-star hotel will make sure a range of price points for guest, adding to the refurbished 5-star facility and the new 6-star, 17-storey luxury hotel tower underway at the front of the property.
