VIVA SURFERS PARADISE

 

Thousands of fans of the golden age of rock and roll will dust off their blue suede shoes as Viva Surfers Paradise returns in July, with 10 days of free live entertainment and shows by some of the world’s best tribute artists in celebration of the legacy of the greatest legends of music.

An initiative of the Surfers Paradise Alliance, the wildly popular event expands to honour not only Elvis Presley but a host of other rock heroes, including Michael Jackson, ABBA and Queen, as the precinct steps back in time to host the Asia Pacific’s ultimate tribute artist festival, from Friday July 8 to Sunday July 17.

Viva Surfers Paradise will see more than 60,000 visitors gather in celebration of the roots of modern rock in the 1950s and 60s, as retro fever ignites the foreshore and surrounds with non-stop live music, displays of rock ‘n’ roll dancing, vintage cars and more.
