Winter goes off with a BANG in Surfers Paradise with SeaFire! Australia’s only international fireworks competition returns to the iconic Surfers Paradise Beach for the second year. Celebrate the spectacle of pyrotechnics with a night of hypnotic performance and thrilling fireworks brought to you by the world’s leading pyrotechnic designers!
China’s team, the reigning champions from SeaFire 2017 and the fireworks designers of the Beijing Olympics Ceremony return to defend their title against a challenger from the Philippines. Settle in with family and friends to bear witness to the latest pyro-technology and innovative displays from both teams lighting up the night sky.
SeaFire is also about celebrating Australians and the entertainment will commence with the Australian National Anthem and a tribute to the men and women of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.Following the fireworks competition, a third display by one of Australia’s very own leading pyro companies, Skylighter FireworX, will conclude the aerial spectacular.

Pre-show entertainment
Before the fireworks begin erupting at 7pm, the foreshore will become a hub of activity, so bring the family in early to enjoy the precinct. Get your kids faces painted for free at the Wyndham marquee between 3-6pm, take advantage of their special offers and go in the draw to win a trip to Hawaii!
